What a great idea! Soda = Obesity = Tax = Money For Obesity Prevention! Continuing to follow the First 5 model, in a few years when More State Fiscal Mismanagement = We Need Money, then the current Governor and Legislators can decide that Money For Obesity Prevention = Piggy Bank! Then we'll find something Unpopular To Tax for Prevention Of BadThings!

I drink only diet, sugar-free soda? Am I to be taxed because I like soda? I'm not contributing to the obesity problem. And what about the fast food, high calorie, full of fat and sugar merchants. Are you going to tax them too?
