If you could live anywhere on the planet where would it be? New York? Shanghai? Los Angeles? Now forget about a comfortable life full of opportunities and think of places where you could live a long life full of health. Maybe there’s something about food, or in the air but there are definitely some parts on the planet where people live healthier and longer.

Some of the analyzed variables were different environmental factors, longevity, healthy food, clean water, and more. Let’s take a look at which countries are the healthiest places in the world.

Spain

It appears that Mediterranean cuisine, a passionate temperament, and a great climate helped put Spain at the number one healthiest country in the world. This Southern European country has found itself on Bloomberg’s list of healthiest places and it beats its runner up by five places. According to Washington’s Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation, Spain should become the country with the highest life expectancy in the next two decades.

Italy

Even if Italy didn’t make it to the first place in 2019, it is still considered one of the healthiest countries on the planet. Additionally, Sardinia is officially a “Blue Zone” due to a great number of people who live to be nearly 100 years old.

Iceland

Japan
