Top 6 World’s Healthiest Countries

If you could live anywhere on the planet where would it be? New York? Shanghai? Los Angeles? Now forget about a comfortable life full of opportunities and think of places where you could live a long life full of health. Maybe there’s something about food, or in the air but there are definitely some parts on the planet where people live healthier and longer.

Some of the analyzed variables were different environmental factors, longevity, healthy food, clean water, and more. Let’s take a look at which countries are the healthiest places in the world.

It appears that Mediterranean cuisine, a passionate temperament, and a great climate helped put Spain at the number one healthiest country in the world. This Southern European country has found itself on Bloomberg’s list of healthiest places and it beats its runner up by five places. According to Washington’s Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation, Spain should become the country with the highest life expectancy in the next two decades.

Even if Italy didn’t make it to the first place in 2019, it is still considered one of the healthiest countries on the planet. Who would have said that in a country where sugar and pasta played such an important role, people actually eat very healthy and live longer? Additionally, Sardinia is officially a “Blue Zone” due to a great number of people who live to be nearly 100 years old.

If you would like to live in the land of fire and ice, but also enjoy one of the best public healthcare models, then Iceland is the place to be. Settled in the North Atlantic, this small island has a population of some 350,000 at it is one of the healthiest places to be on our planet.

After beating Singapore on the list, Japan has become Asia’s healthiest country from 2019. Having some of the longest living people in the world, we must ask ourselves – what is their secret? Apparently, the answer lies in fish and rice. Japanese people have a diet that revolves mostly around these two ingredients, and it seems that they have found the winning combination.

When you think of Switzerland, the first thing that pops into your mind is delicious candy and breath-taking mountains. But next to the natural beauty, Switzerland also has one of the healthiest nations in the world. A diet that contains mostly fruit and grains combined with a culture that promotes sports, has kept the Swiss people in the top 10 healthies nations globally.

With a strong, government-funded healthcare system, Sweden has become one of the most-known countries that place health above anything else. Therefore, if you are looking for a healthier alternative to where you are living at the moment, Sweden should definitely make it to the top of your list.
